Video Games Is Good

Video Games Is Good

Video games are a ubiquitous part of today's world, being the more preferred leisure activity for more people, including youths and adults. There is also a rising trend of movies being converted into video games to target a wider audience. For instance, the Matrix the video game, was released together with the film, Matrix Reloaded. Well, what does video games means? According to Oxford’s dictionary , video games is a game played by electronically manipulating images produced by a computer program on a monitor or other display. As far as I concern, I think that playing video games is a boon but not a bust to generation nowadays because invention of video games had offer the potential to foster creativity,  increase children' s self-confidence and also develop children’s  skills in problem-solving.
First and foremost, a creative atmosphere like video games is required in order to foster children’s creativity. For example, a video games which named The Sims Socials . A player is required  to design their own character; create their house and they are given an opportunity to develop their creativity at the same time. And another perfect examples is uDraw, a peripheral for Nintendo Wii  by video game company THQ ; uDraw connects to the game console and acts as a drawing tablet for kids. Besides, there are a handful of games for Wii that allow kids to use uDraw to interact with the games' characters and situations, as well as play with each other and will thus foster children’s creativity with the help of video games.
Moreover, one of the best ways to Build Self-confidence in kids and adults is through games that foster teamwork. This is because games and fun activities can act as ice-breakers, especially during parties or other social gatherings and get-together's. And let’s get an incident as an examples, children who tend to be timid could often use a good laugh during play times with other kids and family members. Get a word from Mark Twain , "To succeed in life, you need two things: ignorance and confidence." Thus, self-confidence really play an important role among generation at this 21st century and it should be foster and develop among children nowadays.

Furthermore , one’s can develop his or her ‘s skills in problem-solving by playing video games. For examples, puzzle. It's already been proven that puzzle games work wonders on developing problem-solving skills because they require logic, strategy, pattern recognition, sequence solving and word completion. In addition, while this genre of casual games challenges your skills in logic, these games also have the ability to add a time-pressure element which helps players think through situations while under duress. And, according to a report on MSNBC.com, the Federation of American Scientists believes that video games - that old nemesis to parents and educators - can actually help teach the skills that employers want, including analytical thinking, team building, multitasking and problem-solving under duress.
In a nutshell, playing online games  is like playing at your own risk. You need to know when to play and when to stop. Allowing kids to play for longer hours will not only affect their eyes but also deteriorates their career. Last but not least ,I would like to repeat my stand that is playing video games had brings many benefits to human beings besides it’s disadvantages and it’s depend on how you use it in the correct way!
