The Cons of playing video games

Nowadays the development of technologies is so rapid that it involves all layers of society, regardless their social status, economic position, educational level, or age. Attention has been placed on the influence of video ames on the aggressive behaviour of individuals in recent decades. As a result the education of children, their psychological, physical and moral development are in the focus of attention and one of a very significant factor that influences their development are video and computer games. At the same time the impact of video and computer games is still obscure and there is no common view on their effect on children. Traditionally both positive and negative effects may be found in the researches dedicated to this problem. On the one hand, there is a strong belief that video and computer games, or at least some of them, can be dangerous for children’s development because such games contribute to their anti-social behaviour.
Most people don’t think a video game has a big impact on teenagers. The question is why wouldn’t a mindless killing game influence a teen? If you watch a gourmet cooking show it makes you hungry.
If you watch a sad movie you might feel depressed or saddened afterward. If you
can be influenced by something as simple as a movie or TV show, a teenager playing a violent video game will be influenced to act violently.
Firstly,I am definitely agree that young people spend too much time on playing video games as one of the activity to fulfill their leisure time. We always can see that after school time, many of the students like to go to the cyber cafe and playing games for quiet a long time. Even there are a research has state that video game can promote the brain development, but this can only happen when they are playing good games that ask them to think strategies in solving problems yet. However, playing video games will give more disadvantages as it is wasting their time and reduce their skill. As an example, playing video games can decrease important social interactions between family and friends. Therefore, young people cannot improve their soft-skills like talking, leadership or the others. This anti-social behavior will make children
to keep away from others and become passive. So, it will give the negative effects not only to themselves but also to our country because we cannot develop future multi-skills leader.
In addition, another negative effect of online gaming for kids could be that they would end up making them a socially reclusive individual, who just stays indoors and plays games, rather than interact with other kids and play outdoor games, which are essential in developing a healthy body and spirit. They may also not develop much-needed social skills required to help them interact with other children or adults around them growing up.playing video games can also decrease development of skills in sports, music and arts.Performance in academic will be affected if reading and homework are neglected. They usually use a lot of time to play video games because when we start playing it, we will try to finish the games successfully. Therefore, their time to do the other activities will become limited. Sitting all of the day in front of computer is can also contribute to an unhealthy lifestyle because we will not perform active movement of body. Besides, violent video games will provide a forum for learning and practicing aggressive solutions on how to solve problems in different situations. The active nature of the learning environment of video games suggests that this medium is potentially more dangerous than TV and movie media. The negative and violent action that
young people played on games can effect their emotion and behavior. They will immediately take influence of what they see and play. Therefore, they will try to follow the actions that have been seen. Thus, they will easily become more aggressive to show their bad emotion and behavior in front others.violent video games can cause them to act violently within their family.
On the other hand, playing video games will increased tolerance to violence, that kids become insensitive and cold towards other kids and adults alike, not being able to differentiate between what's reality and what's not. This can be considered a valid concern since many video games contain inappropriate content and provide incentives for users to, for example, kill as many characters as possible by rewarding
them with points and increased levels. Can kids differentiate between a game and real life like an adult would? I do not think that all of them are able to do this well.It can cause teens to act violently in school. It been twelve year since the Columbine school shooting when two teen boy committed a horrific crime. They shot and killed twelve of their peers, one teacher, wounded numerous others, and then killed themselves. They both suffered from depression and other issues but USA today states that according to their parents and friends, they would play violent computer games for hours upon hours.
As conclusion,it’s clear to see the world of video games is full of harmful materials, especially for children as o lots of it are not designed for educational purposes but for profit-gaining aims, even there are youngsters who are so addicted to games on computers that they spend almost all day sitting before the computer. As a result they do badly at school. We must always remember that computer is just a machine,it cannot replace
human completely so you are unlikely to find 'moral support' from chatting with strange people on the net.Besides, people tend to tell lies to their chatter. In other words, computers can be rather dangerous to some extent. In fact, parents should play their role in controlling their children activities. Parents can also play a part in guiding their children's use of video games by choosing benefits and useful video games which
contain no violence or sexual element.
