THE PROS OF VIDEO GAMES

THE PROS OF VIDEO GAMES

Nowadays, video games have become more popular and become more common compare with computer games.Video games can be play by teenager or adult, but the computer games just have male teenager to play. Some parents that they scare their children play video games until forget to do homework or o revision so they will limit their children when their children play video games. But computers are the most important tools of modern society, why would they limit their children to play with them?I strongly agree that playing video games has pros more than cons if we know to control ourself.

Firstly, video games can help children who are ill or have injuries. Absorption in a game distracts the mind from pain and discomfort. Many hospitals are encouraging children and others undergoing painful treatments to play games. Many medical departments are using computer games as a form of physiotherapy. Games help people who are recovery from physical injuries gain motor skills and coordination too.when public holiday or school holiday, the children can play video games at home to train their brain can be thinking fastly make their to more active. This can help them to have a good memory.

Secondly, video and computer games can help children gain self confidence and many games are based on history, city building, and governance and so on. Such games indirectly teach children about aspects of life on earth.PBS supports video game learning, and has just launched 40 educational games for kids ages two to eight to improve language and math skills as players have to move at a great speed along with the heroes of the game. It’s not just “educational” games that are useful for instructing, either--teachers in both high school and colleges have turned to games to supplement their teaching plans, using games as diverse as Minecraft, Portal, and World of Warcraft. And both the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency and the U.S. Army Intelligence Center have used video games for training personnel in critical thinking skills. Many games improve language and math skills as players have to move at a great speed along with the heroes of the game.Through playing video games,it can help children to know more extra knowledge that they cant learn from teacher or textbook.

Beside that,Video games can even offer an avenue for physical fitness, as contradictory as that probably sounds. Not all games are couch potato fodder. All three of the major gaming consoles now have motion control options (the Wii, PlayStation Move for the PlayStation 3, and Kinect for Xbox 360) which encourage players to, well, get off their butts. Then there are games and accessories like Wii Fit and Dance Dance Revolution that also motivate players to burn some calories.

As a conclusion, playing video games is a good activity for us to relax ourself when we are tired, but we must know how to control ourself and playing in a right way,if not, this will change to a bad habit in our life.
