The Cons of Playing Video Games

In the society nowadays, video games play an important role in our life. Video games such a part of our bodies and cannot be separate with our daily activities. The technology improvement force kids and adults getting hooked on playing video games. However, we cannot indulge in playing video games because the disadvantages of playing video games seem to outweigh the advantages of playing video games.
First at all, video games can be addictive. Video games give immediate rewards for learning. Based on the research, our brains are typically susceptible to addict as our brain are under development in the middle 20s. Besides, we will neglect to other important things if we addict with playing video games. Many kids are playing video games the whole day and they forget to finish their homework and their results drop rapidly because they are under the influence of video games. This causes their parents disappointed with them.
Secondly, violence video games will affect the mind- concept of fighting among the kids. Kids will tend to have a mindset that fighting with people is the most suitable solution to solve problems. This will eventually increases the fighting and bullying cases in school and also increases the percentage of domestic violence. For example, teenagers who play Street Fighter will think that fighting is the best way to settle a problem. Therefore, they will not solve the problem rationally. At contrary, they will fight with people when they face problems.
Thirdly, video games can affect our health. Kids and adults who are addicted by video games will always spend their time by playing video games. They do not exercise regularly. This will cause a person to become obese. According to the research, each person needs to exercise at least 3 times in a week to maintain our health level. Furthermore, obesity will cause heart diseases and high blood pressure.
In conclusion, playing video games is totally bad for us. Seen that there are more disadvantages than advantages of playing video games, therefore, we need to make sure that we do not indulge in playing video games.
